Shocking Revelation: Star of Baby Reindeer Explains Last Scene That Terrified Fans

The buzz around Netflix's latest series, Baby Reindeer, has gripped viewers with its gripping storyline. This true crime special in seven parts delves into the trials of comedian Richard Gadd, who was stalked for years.

The series follows the character Donny Dunn (played by Richard Gadd), whose life is turned upside down by stalker Martha (Jessica Gunning), bombarding him with relentless emails and messages, and the final scene of the series had viewers glued to their screens.

Warning: Spoilers Ahead

Actress Jessica Gunning spoke to Radio Times about the final scene, explaining her reaction when she read the script. The whole story delves deep into the emotional consequences of abuse, sparking divided reactions among viewers.

While many praised the series for its honest approach to these complex issues, the final scene left many fans divided.

The Last Scene Donny first shows sympathy for Martha after she enters the pub where he works and sees her crying, he offers her a drink. This act of kindness sets off a chilling and traumatic ordeal that defines his life for the next two years.

The series ends in a similar vein - Donny tries to better understand Martha and bursts into tears, and the bartender takes pity on him and offers him a drink.

"There are no winners" "I think it's so cleverly written because ultimately, there are no winners - and you really feel that. It's not a success story, there's no victory. It's two lost people, and it's so well depicted," explained the actress.

"When I read the final scene, I actually got goosebumps because I thought, 'What a clever way to end this.' It's a genuinely broken guy, just as she was in a way when this act of kindness was offered to her, and I think he's just got insight into what that meant at that moment," she added.

"The ending can be interpreted in many ways" "It's just such a clever ending to everything. I think it's incredible and it's just so well interpreted on screen," she concluded, adding that the end of the series is open to interpretation.

"I like the ambiguity of the ending, somehow I don't want to attach meaning to it. I think it can be interpreted in many ways. I know how I interpret it - that ending is my favorite thing in the whole series, the way it ends," she confessed.
